friday the 13th

Today is Friday the 13th or didn't you notice? This day is supposedly associated with bad luck and unfortunate events. But not for me. Today turned out to be quite good although they were teeny inconveniences. Nevertheless, this is life so you have to take all these in stride. Truthfully, I was mildly irritated with the boyfriend but I had to forego the feeling in the spirit of love and peace. Hahaha! How could you get mad if the person you are angry at just smiles at you? Instead, you just grumble in your head and talk to yourself when you're alone. I spent quality time with him today, what with all the busyness of our schedules. We haven't had time to spend as much time as we usually do this week.

He had to entertain out of town buyers, I was busy with kids in school and work. We had to deal with business matters, visits to the banks and lawyers and online payments in between. Today was the only time we had time to spare to talk, hash out the week past and our plans for our next trip, among others. Yesterday was also another hectic day with an unexpected problem. It was something that could have been avoided but wasn't. We are still reeling from the effect of that problem. But I believe that everything happens for a reason and that things will always work out according to God's will.

Despite it being a creepy Friday, I was able to light candles for St. Anthony de Padua and am planning to go to a newphew's first birthday tonight. Yes, dieting will be put on hold for now!
