trip and tired

I'll be away for about three days again since I'll be traveling with the bf tomorrow. I'm happy because that means I won't have to write or work. I was supposed to take today off but my boss gave me two urgents tasks. I was going bond with the baby and take him to the mall this afternoon but he does not want to. It's fine with me though, at least I can rest early.

I had scheduled several tasks this week and I have finally accomplished all of them. I am now looking forward to relaxing in the metropolis-- although I doubt if it will really be a relaxing time. The bf's friend in Pampanga invited him for their annual fiesta and we'll be spending a night there, I think. That will be a first for both of us although I think their fiesta will be similar to ours. We'll just have to see...

I haven't uploaded my pictures yet so I won't be able to make a post on our St. John's beach day as well as my pasta dish. I'm just too tired to think of other things-sorry. I am into 2 Broke Girls right now and have downloaded all the episodes. It's really funny and after I finish watching, I'm going to watch Suburgatory next. I am still deciding whether to download Parenthood Season 2 because I've seen some episodes already.

My sister took our uncle to the doctor this morning. She was scared because he was having difficulty breathing and was requesting for oxygen. However, he does not want to be taken to the hospital so they compromised. He agreed to a checkup as long as he wasn't going to be confined. This uncle is the one we visit every Saturday who is a stubborn and mule headed war veteran.

Ciao!

guest, sunblock and men

my cousin arrived last saturday. she came from the metropolis and came in time for my uncle's birthday. we had a party on saturday night but went home by ten. i had a raging headache and i wasn't in the mood to mingle. my other relatives were also going out of town the next day for pamamanhikan. a cousin of mine is getting hitched on may. i was supposed to go with them but my cousin couldn't rebook her flight. it was just too expensive. i had no choice but to stay here.

so last sunday, we went to a beach resort nearby. the sun was great, it was up and shining. we stayed in the shade though but the wind was blowing really strong. i had no plans of swimming in the pool but i had to since the baby was swimming. he was playing with my nephew and his dad in the kiddie pool so i swam with my cousin. sunning was really the apt word since it was freezing in the water. while we were in the pool, my cousin and i were talking about her ex-boyfriend. he was the reason she came, since she "needed to get away". apparently her Caucasian bf thought she was "getting too attached to him". he was scared that she would want to take it to the next level-a.k.a marriage. she was of the marrying age at 32. unfortunately he just got divorced in 2009 and was still loaded with emotional baggage. she actually wasn't planning to get married yet since she still intends to go abroad.

during our discussion, a foreigner came by and sat by the edge of the pool. he only heard my phrase "emotional baggage" then he butted into our conversation. he was British, although i'm not quite sure. he was hysterically funny and proceeded to tell us that women didn't need boyfriend. instead we needed lady-sitters who would go shopping with us, listen to our drama etc. he said most pinoys are gays and that piolo was indeed handsome. it was funny how he kept on dissing pinoys and had the gall to say they were pangit. it was funny because he wasn't handsome himself. he had a good, strong nose, lean physique but he had a bad tooth. tooth as in singular, he had long hair but it didn't help him in any way. but he was a great conversationalist and he did help while the time away.

anyway, i had forgotten to apply sunblock. i wasn't too concerned because i didn't stay in the water too long. but when we got home, i saw that i was as red as a lobster. i was literally blushing. even my right arm got sunburned and is hurting up to now. whatever.

my cousin wasn't too happy with me because i wouldn't go out after we got home. i was too tired to go anywhere and she ended up sleeping early. i just let her use my computer so she could post her photos. i proceeded to watch a movie in my bedroom and then slept. it's not my fault because i no longer go out at night and she knows it. i am not the right person to go to if you plan on catching a guy. i suck in that area. hahaha!

she left early this morning which was fine by me. my mom was always wondering what meals to serve because she doesn't eat pork.

the long weekend

i no longer have to go to the office so every day is like a weekend for me. i don't have to worry about mondays etc. it was a long weekend and i enjoyed it like i do every day of the week. the bf and i was on a trip yet again last week but we came home on a saturday. i didn't exactly have a packed weekend planned but i had places to go and people to see. i was able to go a friend's wedding but i skipped the reception since i was terribly sick during the trip home. (see previous post!) i did forego a saturday night of drinking and socializing for a good night's sleep.

on sunday, i lazed around in the afternoon plus a power nap. but i did wash the car in the morning and it felt great. i was waiting for both the bf and the masseuse to come around 5 pm but only the masseuse came. hahaha! actually the bf was getting a massage himself, thus he failed to show up. anyway, i enjoyed my two-hour body massage tremendously. i was supposed to meet a high school friend later in the night (again!) at one of the city's hotspots but i was too lazy to go. i just dropped by the place when i had to get baby's stuff and we talked for like a minute.

monday was beach day with the girlfriends. naturally, it meant a lot of yakking and gabbing and laughter. and did i mention tons of food? it was a lot of fun but i was exhausted after. maybe because it was too hot outside. i had work to submit but i told my boss i couldn't make the deadline. it was not just exhaustion really, my connection conked out yesterday and my prepaid internet wasn't working as well. luckily, he allowed me to submit today.

tuesday, i spent whole day with family. it was just like a usual sunday that we capped off with dinner out. now, i'm resting and looking forward to another week ahead.
