The bf and I are always together every day. We start out with our daily exercise. During the past seven months we were running/walking, now we're back to biking. After that it's time for business. There are times when the day's schedule is frantic and we have so many things to do and so many places to go to during the day. There are also times when we have nothing to do. We can spend an entire afternoon just talking or sleeping or eating, depending on the mood.

We weren't this comfortable with each other at the start. What with our age difference and dissimilar interests, it is but natural. But that no longer holds true today. Despite our differences, we find common ground and interests. Now, we are content to sit in silence together. We don't have to always talk all the time. He also tries gives in to some of my quirks, understands when I am just in the mood for pasta even if he is craving for lomi and all that stuff.  We don't always do exciting things on normal days but we always make it a point to be together daily. We only take breaks on Sunday but that is only after our exercise.

He is thankful that I am very supportive of all his business ventures. I am the woman behind the successful man, as cliche it may sound. I do a lot of things behind the scenes and I am fine with that. Despite the moments when I feel that I should get married and I will have to end things with the bf, I don't think I can do it yet. I have devoted six years of my life with him and we already have a child. These are things that you can't let go of lightly and right now, I have no plans to do so. The only problem is that nothing ever happens to our liking. Whatever happens, there is always a reason so I try to keep an open mind and heart. I try to cherish every moment I spend with the bf and hope that whatever happens we'll get through it. Through thick and thin, sick and sin.

business and problems

The bf rents the premises for his business. Last year, he was able to purchase a piece of land along the highway, several meters away from his present location. This year, he began developing the area and has started construction. He also rented the adjacent building and is opening another store there. His contract with the old premises was renewed this year but only for two years and he still deciding whether to give it up after the contract expires or renew it again.

The construction still hasn't began full swing because backfilling the area is still required. There are also problems with the crew because two of his workers quit for various reasons. But the worst thing to date is that the truck that delivers backfill material bumped into the newly erected fence. The whole wall toppled over and will have to be done again. The bf was really furious this afternoon because it meant a waste of money, time and energy. As of today, the bf has been having cash flow problems because sales are slow this time and then this accident comes. Of course, the company will shoulder the re-construction but still the damage has been done.

But I think that problems are common anywhere and anytime and this problem is relatively minor. There are worse problems to be had and this will probably be solved in a few days' time. Of course, I didn't tell the bf that, else I'd get my head bitten off! Hahaha!

daddy yo!

last tuesday, the bf and i were in bulacan. we went to a "new supplier" of his. we already met the son in the past but the bf only transacted with him that day. i remained inside the car because it was blistering hot out. the bf opened the car door and asked me to write a check. i was aking for the payee's name so he told me to go out and ask. i went to the counter and proceeded to write. while i was writing, the supplier's mom came over to tell me her son's name. when i was done she asked the bf this: "anak mo, sir?"

i merely smiled and the bf said "hindi, misis ko yan". the supplier's mom was very effusive in her apologies and even said "sorry po, maganda kasi." hahaha! i went back to the car and the coolness inside. when we left, i teased the bf and said "hi daddy!" this was actually the second time somebody asked if i was his daughter. i told him i must look like i'm still in my 20s and you're already in your 50's. his reply: it's not funny!
