the problem

the problem with knowing how to write is that everybody thinks it's that easy. ever since i can remember, i have been stuck with writing poems, essays for school, speeches for parties and special occasions, resignation letters, application letters, resumes, solicitation letters and so much more.

and i hate doing all those stuff. i mean it's easy making all those but why should i burdened with it? it's their jobs, their homeworks, their special occasions, not mine. i wouldn't be proud delivering a speech i didn't make, let alone pass homework that isn't of my doing. just today, my mom asked to make a resume for my aunt. and i'm like, why me? why not her son? i only know her name and birthday. i have no idea about other stuff about her. besides, she can easily download a sample online, why does she have to ask me to do it? that's something common among filipinos. if others can do it for them, they won't bother doing it at all.

i work hard to make stuff for myself. i do my own research, compose my own letters, etc. if i need other resources, i go online. it's that simple. okay, i'll be honest. on another good day, i'd be open to doing it. today is just not that great for me, that's why. = )

of usb, drug rehabs and ginkgo biloba

my work varies from day to day. in six month's time, i have written about anything and everything from selling pashmina shawls, bikinis, organic coffee, unsecured loans, investment firms plus those i mentioned in the title. i have put a positive spin on scammers and described plumbing torches, sinks and cherry pickers. and if it wasn't for this job, i wouldn't know that a cherry picker is not a person. hahaha!

when i take time off work, i feel liberated but i also miss it. there are times when i don't have work during the weekend. and it sometimes feels weird. i am so used to checking my email and see the day's task waiting for me. my new work has brought me fulfillment and has added to my knowledge. i have become quite skilled at online research although when the topic is quite difficult, i get frustrated.

i have am now a quick writer. i can finish my task in three to four hours only. it used to take me at least eight hours to accomplish. basically, i am glad i found this job. it's interesting everyday and pays quite well.

i became a "blogger" because i have been following several blogs.
1. Daphne Paez's blog is the first i followed. my friend recommended it and i loved reading her stuff
2. Chuvaness.com is daphne's friend, i started following her blog because it's so diverse, chika and quite nice to read
3. The Bag Hag Diaries for her bags and travelogs. although i could never afford to buy any bag that she features
4. Postsecret is a wonderful blog to read. you can even relate to some secrets posted
5. Fashion Pulis is a new blog that is very intriguing and makes you say: kaya pala! or really???
6. The Superficial is not exactly a blog but you get to ready juicy celebrity stories from the US. i used to follow Perez Hilton when he was mean! hahaha!
7. Enjoying the Small Things by Kelle Hampton is picture-filled but meaning as well
8. Topaz Horizon makes for nice reading although she doesnt post as often.
9. Karotitay's blog is also witty. she loves shoes too which is a plus!
10. omg @yahoo US- i dont really read the blogs, just look at the photos!

no one but me

i started this blog way back in 2009. but i stopped writing because i just got too caught up with motherhood, work, the bf and life... you know how it goes. anyway.

this year, i decided to resurrect my blog from the dead and decided to write daily. then i realized that was just too unrealistic. so i dared to do at least 2 posts a week. i did it--sometimes! i mean when i travel, i don't bring my computer. not only is it additional baggage for me but i really have to time to write/surf etc. it's useful only for watching movies and if my power runs out? so that's out.

also, i have bad eyes. or sick eyes for that matter. and now more than ever, my eyes are really failing me. my left eye twitches and it scares me. my optician told me before that my right eye was weak so my left eye compensates. i didn't put too much stock in it until this week. yes, the twitching and watery eyes. i went so far as to shut my left eye and used my right eye only. it was indeed blurred. i couldn't make out faces or shapes or letters with a distance of only 3 meters. i was that nearsighted! that meant less computer time, hence less blog posts.

having said that, my blog is so obscure, i don't know if anyone but me knows it exists. sad it may be, it is the truth. i mean, what is the point of writing if no one else can read it. but the thing is, i don't really care. i don't have excellent memory. things tend to overlap or get lost in my memory bank. that is why i have a journal, a diary to remind of what i did that particular day etc. and this blog is one way of keeping tabs with my life. i will read back and recall my thoughts and musings last month or last week.

so even if no one but me reads this, i will keep on writing. who knows, a random commenter just might be lurking around the corner... = )
